Nobody could've predicted that the Leafs would be in their current situation after watching their performance in round one of the playoffs. They truly looked like a team that wanted it all, and they were primed to have the easiest path to the conference finals of any team. Florida has since then, given the Leafs the biggest run for their money, and has Toronto on the verge of elimination. The frustrations of this unexpected turnaround are weighing heavy on many players, especially Mitch Marner.

Marner Snaps at a Reporter For Doing His Job

Mitch Marner spoke with the media today ahead of Toronto's all important game four versus Florida, and shared his thoughts on the match-up. Clearly, the nerves of the playoffs were getting to him, and he snapped at a reporter in a rather uncharacteristic way.

"We don't care what you guys say, we don't listen to you guys outside of this locker room. We're just focused on ourselves." - Mitch Marner

Marner is usually a very happy, upbeat person, but the stress of the post-season has clearly weighed heavy on him. This attitude likely extends to the rest of the Leafs, but unfortunately for Marner, he was the one to let it out.

With a win in game 4, the Leafs could gain some of their confidence back, but if not, they'll be sent home packing.
