LetterKenny and Shoresy actor signs with the Maple Leafs organization

According to the "Spittin' Chiclets" account(s) former NHLer, actor and author will be signing with the ECHL's Newfoundland Growlers in time to play against the Adirondack Thunder.

Breaking: theres a good chance 47-year-old @terryryan20
will be suiting up for the @NLGrowlers
tomorrow against @ECHLThunder

It is likely more of a spectacle and media stunt signing designed to get butts in the seats and attention in the hockey world. It has sure grabbed the attention of fans of the show "Shoresy", along with fans of the show "LetterKenny" as well.

Hopefully the 47-year-old does not hurt himself in the game too, but it is unlikely he will spend a lot of time on the ice.

Ryan's career went through many leagues

In 1995, Ryan was drafted eighth overall by the Montreal Canadiens. He would go on to only play eight NHL games, ironically enough, but he put up 36 penalty minutes in those games.

After the NHL, WHL, and AHL he bounced around leagues. He played in the WCHL, ECHL, and ACHL then did not play between 2003-2007. Once he started playing again he signed in the Chinook HL, WCSHL, NLSHL, ECSHL, NSHL-Sr., and then lastly in the AESHL.
