Soccer Legend Makes Hockey History At 41 Years Old
From Premier League Football to Ice Hockey: Petr Cech Debuts in EIHL
Petr Cech, a former professional footballer, has embraced his passion for ice hockey, playing semi-professionally in the United Kingdom.
Fan of the sport since his childhood, Cech recently achieved a personal milestone by participating in his first professional game in the Elite Ice Hockey League.
The Plzen-born athlete joined the Belfast Giants on loan this weekend, stepping in following many injuries within the team.
At 41, he made an impressive debut in the game's final five minutes against the Glasgow Clan, contributing a crucial save that helped the Giants win.
An Illustrious Career in Soccer
Petr Cech is renowned for his twenty-year career as a goalkeeper in soccer's Premier League, particularly with prominent clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, where he won four Premier League titles.
Cech also represented the Czech Republic at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and three UEFA European Championships.
