TRAGIC: 11-Year-Old Passes Away After Freak Accident At Hockey Practice

Tragedy: Young Hockey Player Dies After Accident at Practice
In Saint-Eustache, Quebec, a hockey player passed away after he received a puck to the net during a regular practice.

"Tuesday evening, during hockey practice, an 11-year-old boy was accidentally hit by a puck while participating in a regular exercise," police said. "It is with regret that we were informed of the child's death."

It is with profound sadness that the Saint-Eustache Minor Hockey Association has learned of the passing of a young hockey player, who was the victim of a tragic accident during a regular practice session on December 12th.
The Association extends its deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the young player during this difficult time.
"We are all deeply saddened by this tragedy that has shaken all members of our Association. I commend the solidarity shown by many during these extremely emotional past few days. Most importantly, I offer my sincerest sympathies to the family and their loved ones," expressed Jean-Philippe Labreche, president of the Saint-Eustache Minor Hockey Association.
The Association also reiterates its support for the teammates of the young player and all its members who are greatly affected by this terrible news.
The Association encourages those who feel the need to seek assistance to use various support services, including contacting 811 or reaching out to Sport Aide at 1-833-211-2433 for support.
The Association will limit itself to this statement of solidarity and requests respect for the privacy of the affected family.
