With the NHL season beginning yesterday, fans across the globe were all paying attention to the games that were being played.

In the very first game of the season between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Nashville Predators, a small sequence of the game is being heavily discussed on all social media platforms.

It involves newly signed Conor Sheary, who just signed a three-year deal with the Lightning in the off-season.

During the game, Sheary and Predators defender Jeremy Lauzon were battling for the puck when Sheary made a move that no fan was happy with.

Sheary Embellishes, Provoking Referees To Make Bad Call

During the battle, Lauzon's stick comes near to Sheary's face, and he proceeds to sell it to the refs that he got hit by the stick.

"Just for the public record, Jeremy Lauzon's stick doesn't touch Conor Sheary here. Full-on embellishment."

The Lightning would score on the powerplay, and that goal would turn into the game-winner. The league has been trying to cut down on the amount of players embellishing but it did not stop Sheary from doing it last night.
