Alex DeBrincat's time in Ottawa left fans with a sour taste in their mouth. The winger definitely made some enemies - on and off the ice.
Stutzle Takes a Shot
His former teammate, Tim Stutzle, has emerged a star in Ottawa. He played on a line with DeBrincat for most of last season, and was obviously slightly hurt when he refused to resign in the Canadian capital.
Now, with the year about to start, and DeBrincat signed on for the next four years with divisional rival Detroit, Stutzle has spoken:
«If you don't want to be there, then good luck on your way.»
«I think you can just tell those guys who signed long-term, they really want to be here. And yeah, that's the biggest part for us.»
So... not only does DeBrincat not want to play in Ottawa, the team doesn't want him either!
It'll definitely be an interesting showdown when the Sens first face the Wings!
