Tom Wilson Fights For The First Time This Season
Tom Wilson and the Capitals has a rough night as they fell to their rival Penguins 4-0 in their season opener at home. Wilson made sure that the fans had something to cheer about at the end of the game though as he dropped the gloves.
Wilson Drops The Gloves With Pettersson
As the clock was winding down late in the third period, Tom Wilson let his frustration boil over as he grabbed Pittsburgh's Marcus Pettersson and started introducing him to his fists.
It was a relatively modest fight as Pettersson appeared to take a defensive position, trying to keep his head out of Wilson's reach. The Linesmen stepped in before any solid punches could be landed by either player.
Some fans were not particularly happy with Wilson after the fight.
Tom Wilson quickest goon to start shit with a guy who never fights and then turn victim after scrum lol
For the record, this was Pettersson's 8th career fight. He most recently fought San Jose's Jonah Gadjovich on January 28th last season. Wilson and the Capitals will be back in action on Monday when they take on the Flames at home.
