Trailer Released For The Upcoming Documentary On The Biggest Draft Bust In NHL History
Amazon Prime has just released a trailer for an upcoming documentary that will about the biggest draft bust in NHL history.
New Documentary About the NHL's Biggest Draft Bust Coming in January
The documentary, titled "Chosen One: Alexandre Daigle," is set to premiere on January 26, 2024. It tells the story of Alexandre Daigle, who was the first overall pick by the Ottawa Senators in 1993 and was expected to become the NHL's next superstar.
"Following a remarkable start and with all eyes on him, Daigle failed to live up to the unattainable expectations. Now, decades later, following a turbulent career on the ice, Daigle reflects on how he navigated the gap between people's projections and his everyday existence, revealing the pressure and internal turmoil of not living up to the impossible hype."
Daigle played for several NHL teams, including the Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Minnesota Wild. He had his best seasons in Ottawa during 1993-94 and 1996-97 when he scored 51 points. He ended in Europe, where he spent the last four seasons of his career.
