We've seen a few big trades and signings happen over the last few days, but it looks like the Vancouver Canucks will be looking for another trade partner as they will be trading one of their goalie prospects.
23 year old goaltender Michael DiPietro was a highly touted prospect, but seems to have fallen out of favour in the Canucks organization. DiPietro was drafted in the 3rd round back in 2017 and has appeared in 3 NHL games, and personally I dont think i've seen a worse start to a goalies career. So far through 3 games he has a .771 save percentage and 5.28 goals against average, so if anyone has ever needed a change of scenery to restart his career, it's DiPietro.
According to Canucks Insider Rick Dhaliwai, the Canucks have given permission for DiPietro's agent Darren Ferris to begin speaking with other teams to help a trade.
Unfortunately for the Canucks in this situation, a once very promising young prospect will most likely fetch very little return in a trade.
