The start of the 2022-23 season has not went the way the Washington Capitals had hoped it would. They are currently 5-4-2 in the Metro which is not a playoff spot, and the team is getting angry.

The Capitals started the season without star players Nicklas Backstrom and Tom Wilson due to offseason surgeries, and Carl Hagelin is also on LTIR.

It was also announced yesterday that Connor Brown would be shut down for the season following surgery.

Add in TJ Oshie who is ''out indefinitely'' and John Carlson who is day-to-day, the Capitals are limping onto the ice.

Now to make matters worse than lost Beck Malenstyn during last nights game and also Garnet Hathaway left briefly with an injury.

During last nights game against the Vegas Golden Knights, the Capitals were holding a 2-1 lead midway through the third, when the Knights would score to tie the game.

The game went into overtime, and Shea Theodore would break free from Ovechkin and score the OT winning goal:

Ovechkin, obviously frustrated that he got beat and that his team is not winning, takes his frustrations out on his poor stick after the game:
