Things got a bit out of hand during a Finnish Elite League game on Saturday, resulting a head coach getting ejected following a wild outburst.
TUTO Hockey bench boss Jonne Virtanen took issue with a crosschecking penalty called against one of his players and went ballistic, throwing everything from broken sticks to water bottles on the ice for nearly a full minute.
Virtanen made his playing debut with SM-Liiga club Saimman Pallo during the 2006-07 season and was at the time the youngest player on the roster. He scored 36 goals and has 88 assists in 580 Liiga games and then took on his current role following retirement.
Suspension already
SM-Liiga has already handed Virtanen a three-game suspension for his actions.
The TUTO coach is able to appeal the suspension but could risk a longer stint away from the club should from the league's disciplinary office.
