Insane rejected Martin Necas trade offer leaks involving two top youngsters
Today just moments after his extension signing with the Carolina Hurricanes two reports came out regarding two nearly missed trades involving Martin Necas.
The Carolina Hurricanes were rumored to be shopping forward Martin Necas for much of this summer. He was upset the team was not willing to play him at center leading to a fractured relationship. Despite the chaos of this summer reports have confirmed today that Martin Necas signed an extension with the Hurricanes.

Frank Seravalli reveals two narrowly missed Martin Necas trade
This afternoon a new report from Frank Seravalli revealed a pair of trade partners that tried to make a Martin Necas trade happen. The first was the Buffalo Sabres who had a potential deal in place but Martin Necas refused to sign an extension with them.
The Buffalo #Sabres reportedly had an offer on the table for Martin Necas that may have been accepted, but Necas informed the Sabres he wasn't interested in re-signing in Buffalo. Per, Frank Seravalli.
The next is the Winnipeg Jets who offered top young players Cole Perfetti and Rutger McGroarty along with a draft pick. In this case, things fell apart due to the Carolina Hurricanes just flat-out rejecting the trade.
The Winnipeg #Jets reportedly offered a trade package of Rutger McGroarty, Cole Perfetti, and a draft pick in exchange for Martin Necas that was rejected. Per, Frank Seravalli.
This trade would have been fair value in return for Martin Necas but would have taken the Carolina Hurricanes further away from being an immediate contender. Now with the extension of Martin Necas they at worst get a two-year rental of a player they know can be successful for them.
If all goes well the two sides could work out their differences and Martin Necas could sign a long-term extension. If not there will always be suitors willing to pay similar prices in a trade for Martin Necas.
