The Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry is under heavy criticism from fans after allowing a horrible goal last night against the Ottawa Senators.

Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Penguins faced the Senators in Ottawa. Sidney Crosby and his team managed to lose 3-2 in overtime against the Sens, following a 9-2 win over the Montreal Canadien a few days ago.

The Penguins have been struggling this season; last night's game was not an exception.

Goaltender Tristan Jarry stopped 28 out of the 31 shots fired at him, which wasn't enough to give his team the win.

Following the game, Jarry opened up on a specific goal he allowed to Drake Batherson. In his post-game comments, he called it a "shitty goal", and stated that it's "not part of hockey".

Check out the goal here:

In his own words:

"It's a shitty goal, honestly. I don't know how you take that out of the game, but I don't think you should be allowed to stand there and let the guy shoot it off you. I think it's almost impossible to stop.

Like, he gets position on our player and he just parks himself at the back post and their guy just shoots it off of him. It's a tough play and I think it's not part of hockey."

Fans didn't like hearing such things. Jarry must take responsibility for that poor performance and Pittsburgh's overall bad season.

Many of them shared their thoughts on X.

Here's what they wrote:

This season, Jarry, 29, has only six wins in 13 games with the Penguins with a 3.59 GAA and a .885 SV%.

Before his poor excuses get accepted by fans, he'll need to play much better and help the team get out of the bottom of the NHL rankings.

Meanwhile, making excuses won't help him.
