Philadelphia Flyers officially buy out $5 million forward Cam Atkinson
On the day of the 2024 NHL draft, the Philadelphia Flyers announced that they had bought out the final year of Cam Atkinson's contract.
The Philadelphia Flyers are gearing up for a massive offseason. It was just announced that they have saved some money by buying out the final year of Cam Atkinson's contract.
Roster update: The Flyers will buy out the remainder of the contract of forward Cam Atkinson, according to General Manager, Daniel Brière.
As the Flyers announced, Cam Atkinson is on unconditional waivers for the purposes of a buyout

The Flyers will now be saving over $3 million this upcoming year and can use it to broker more trades. Atkinson scored 28 points in 70 games with the Flyers last season. He has spent his entire NHL career split between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers.
Atkinson is now an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any NHL team other than the Flyers.
