The Senators camera operators seeing the events go down put the couple on the jumbotron. Once on the big screen a Toronto Maple Leafs fan comes out of nowhere and scoops the girl up kissing her.

The Senators' jumbotron operator immediately cut away from the awkward situation playing out and things continued on without mention of it. However, with the power of social media, the conversation continued. During the discourse about the events, some wondered if the Senators fell victim to a prank.
