There has been speculation for weeks on if/when the Chicago Blackhawks would pull the trigger on a trade for Alex Debrincat, and just hours before the draft they have!
Many believed that the Philadelphia Flyers were the team making the big push for this two-time 40 goal scorer, but in the end the Ottawa Senators made a huge trade for the young sniper.
The Ottawa Senators stole a trade with the Blackhawks and gave them the:
2022- 7th overall & 39th overall, 2024 3rd round pick
The Ottawa Senators just received a great young forward to add to their ranks and with the recent announcement of a new arena, people might just start attending Ottawa Senators games again!
