BREAKING: 2019 First-Round Pick Poached Off Of Waivers
A first-round pick from the 2019 draft found himself on waivers for the first time and was claimed instantly by a struggling team.
Anaheim Claims Thomson
Insider Elliotte Friedman has just announced that the Anaheim Ducks have claimed Lassi Thomson off of waivers.
Thomson is a 23-year-old defenseman who has upside but never got his fair shot in Ottawa. With Anaheim, he will get an opportunity to be the main man behind Cam Fowler and will likely break out because of it.
He will be remembered in Ottawa as a player with the tools and the upside but never got his shot due to stronger players ahead of him.
