After being the face of goal-scoring league-wide for over a decade we may never see Alex Ovechkin in the all-star game.
Ovechkin Refuses To Attend The 2024 NHL All-Star Game
Many fans were shocked to see that Tom Wilson was going to be the representative of the Washington Capitals at this year's all-star game but we may now know the reason.
According to a report, Alex Ovechkin notified the Capitals that he did not want to attend the All-Star Game which may have been the contributing factor for why Tom Wilson is going to the event.
This season is showing that the Russian goal-scoring machine may be slowing down as in 36 games played this season Ovi has just eight goals on the season. He even went goalless for a 14-game stretch.
