The Toronto Maple Leafs have just announced that defenseman Jake Muzzin has decided to retire and join the organization in a new role.
General Manager Brad Treliving announced the following staff updates
Jake Muzzin has retired and is joining #LeafsForever as a pro scout
Muzzin had been out of action in the NHL since sustaining a now career-ending injury in early 2022. He will now move to the front office and be a pro scout where he will look to help the Toronto Maple Leafs toward the same goal of a Stanley Cup.
