BREAKING: LA Kings Placed First-Round Prospect On Waivers
The Los Angeles Kings have placed a 22-year-old former first-round draft pick on waivers exposing him to every single NHL team.
Bjornfot Placed On Waivers
The LA Kings announced today that they have called up defenseman Brandt Clarke and placed Tobias Bjornfot, the 2019 22nd overall pick, on waivers.
The LA Kings have recalled defenseman Brandt Clarke from the Ontario Reign, the Kings' primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, defenseman Tobias Bjornfot has been placed on waivers.
Bjornfot has struggled to stay healthy all season and has only got into one NHL game registering just over 10 minutes. He split time between the AHL and the NHL last year after spending the entire 2021-22 campaign in the NHL.
In conjunction with sending down Bjornfot, the Kings are calling up Brandt Clarke, the 2021 8th overall pick, who has been on a tear in the AHL scoring 32 points in 30 games. He is looking like the future number-one defenseman for LA and may never play in the AHL again if he impresses.
