Yesterday we received the sad news that one of the best players and greatest goal scorers to ever put on a pair of skates had passed away.

Bobby Hull, a legend of the game, passed away at the age of 87.

In the past few months we've lost quite a few legends of the game, and while they were all praised for everything they did and accomplished during their playing time, some people weren't as nice when speaking about Bobby Hull.

When someone passes, it's not the time to start publicly disgracing their name nor is it ever a time, but when friends and family are going through a tough time, seeing things made so public just adds to the toughness, and Bobby's grandson, Jude Hull had enough of the way his grandfathers name was being thrown around and decided to say something:

You're allowed to have whatever opinion you want of my Grandfather and his past. To air it all out not 12 hours after he passed makes me want to puke. I hope those tweets help you sleep better at night.

Here were the final words from Jude to his grandfather:

The million dollar man. You were larger than life to me and so many others. You were a pioneer to the sport I love and will miss you dearly. I'll be enjoying a few glasses of red this week for you, grandpa. «and we did have fun»

R.I.P Bobby Hull.
