Breaking: San Jose Sharks Claim Defenseman Off Waivers
Every year during training camp, NHL teams must send players to the AHL through waivers.

Emberson has never played in the NHL. The Arizona Coyotes drafted him in the third round of the 2018 draft and since then, he has played in the NCAA and the AHL.
He was traded to the Rangers last summer for Patrick Nemeth and a draft pick.
