Owen Beck is known for his elite offensive instincts but he may be starting to formulate a reputation as a dirty player after this violent play.
Owen Beck Suspended For the Rest of the OHL Season After Violent Play
Owen Beck was the 33rd overall pick in the 2022 draft and in his first season since getting drafted, he has proven he should have gone much earlier. Beck, who got into an NHL game this season has proven himself as an elite talent.
Leading his team the Peterborough Petes to the OHL finals, Beck has further proven himself as somebody they can rely on. However, after a dirty play last game, Beck had his OHL season finished early.
For this slew foot, Beck received a match penalty and it was announced that Beck has been suspended for the rest of the OHL playoffs.
While Beck is suspended for the rest of the OHL playoffs, there is a possibility he plays again this season if Peterborough wins the OHL title. Beck would be available to play in the Memorial Cup playoffs to determine what team is the best CHL team.
It will be difficult for Peterborough to win the championship without Beck but they have a very strong roster and could very well do so.
