Connor Bedard Has Officially Been Passed in a Crucial Analytic
The young prodigy, Connor Bedard, has been considered the best player available at the 2023 NHL draft for the last couple of years.
We already knew that 2023 was going to be special, but not to this extent.
There's so much talent available, and it looks like someone has finally surpassed Bedard in an important category.
Bedard Officially Dethroned
According to a report published on Twitter, Matvei Michkov has surpassed Bedard for point potential in their prime.
"PNHLe measures NHL point potential in a prospect's prime.
It is based on historical values and adjusts for age, production, league, and position to normalize a player's future value."
This doesn't change the fact that Bedard will be picked first overall, but it shows that teams in the top five will have very interesting options.
