Perry Signs In Edmonton After Being Terminated In Chicago

The Corey Perry drama has seemingly come to a close, after a roller coaster of ups and downs this season. While in Chicago, Perry was terminated abruptly for reasons that are still unknown to the public. Many thought that he wouldn't play in the NHL again, or at least this season.

After Gary Bettman and the NHL held a meeting with Perry, though, it was determined that he would be able to return to the NHL this season. Perry was immediately sought after by several teams and ultimately chose to sign with the Edmonton Oilers.

Perry's deal was for the league minimum, with several performance bonuses built in. He is expected to be in the lineup on Saturday for the Oilers.
