Cutter Gauthier is making headlines across the NHL before even coming into the League, and now is raising eyebrows with his most recent statement after his trade out of Philadelphia.
Gauthier Traded in Surprising Move That No One Saw Coming
Just a few days ago, Cutter Gauthier made headlines for being shipped out of Philadelphia, right after winning a gold medal with Team USA during the World Juniors. Gauthier has yet to play in the NHL, so the move was incredibly shocking.
Many speculated why the trade occurred, and the Flyers revealed that Gauthier had told them he was not interested in playing in Philly. He later revealed that this was for 'personal reasons', justifying his trade request.
Cutter Gauthier on Ducks podcast regarding trade: "It's tough to talk about. I'd like to announce that it's a personal matter between myself, my family, my agent Kurt (Overhart)
Gauthier Raising Eyebrows With Statement After Trade
Whatever the reason behind those personal reasons, we will never know. However, Gauthier is raising some eyebrows with his most recent comment, which has come off as arrogant to some.
""I think that any coach I play for would love to have me on their team"......Cutter Gauthier yesterday
This kid has quite the opinion of himself, doesn't he ? He may need an attitude adjustment when he gets to the NHL
Gauthier is clearly a confident young man, and some degree of confidence is needed to play any professional sport. However, it has come across as being a bit high on his horse to some fans, as he has yet to play an NHL game.
