Environment Canada Releases Special Weather Statement Ahead Of Heritage Classic
The Battle Of Alberta might be a bit anticlimactic this year as both the Flames and the Oilers have struggled mightily to begin their seasons. One of the teams must win tomorrow though as they face off in the Heritage Classic.
City Of Edmonton Makes Statement About Heritage Classic
Today, Environment Canada released a special weather statement ahead of the game, warning fans of freezing conditions while simultaneously building hype for the game.
The statement goes beyond the weather forecast, detailing intermission festivities and suggesting fans bring extra toques in case of hat tricks. Its not often you see official government sources getting involved in sports but nothing could be more Canadian than a city telling people how to dress to an outdoor hockey game.
