If you remember back to almost two months ago, you might recall a certain interview involving former NHLer Kieth Tkachuk, the father of Matthew and Brady. The contents of that interview are now being brought back into the light, and Kieth is getting embarrassed!
Panthers Shut Papa Tkachuk Up
Over 50 days ago, Kieth Tkachuk went on a radio interview, where he called the Florida Panthers (who his son Matthew plays for) soft. At the time, the Panthers were deep in the battle for a wildcard spot, and it looked as though they might miss the playoffs one season after winning the President's Trophy.
Since that time, the Panthers have had almost a complete rejuvenation, and have posted a record of 16-5-1. They now sit just two wins away from advancing to the Stanley Cup Final, and have already beat powerhouses like Boston and Toronto.
It's safe to say, Tkachuk was wrong about his son's team.
Fans Point Out Other Reasons for Success
The fans who found this tweet seemed to disagree with the original tweet and pointed to another season for the Panthers' success.
