The Chicago Blackhawks are trying to begin a new era under new General Manager Kyle Davidson, and apparently going into a rebuild, the GM doesn't see the 24-year-old Debrincat as part of the future.
We already know that the team is letting youngsters Dylan Strome and Dominik Kubalik walk in free agency for nothing, but with Debrincat still under contract, they are looking to get quite the payday for this 2 time 40 goal scorer.
According to Pierre Lebrun:
#Blackhawks are listening to teams offers for F Alex DeBrincat. While it's no guarantee they move him, they are seeking a return that would feature a young player, high draft picks, and top prospects Debrincat has one more year left on his contract then will be hitting it big on his next contract with a qualifying offer of $9,000,000.
What team do you think will be trading for this goal scorer?
