JT Miller signed an 8-year contract extension with the Vancouver Canucks this summer, this was supposed to mark the team turning the corner and committing to winning. Sadly the team has struggled all year and the results have been filled with dysfunction.
While some consider Miller a competitive guy just trying to win games, others see him as a locker room cancer.
In the final minute of the 3rd period of last night's game Miller had another one of his patented outbursts. As goaltender Colin Delia waited for the Canucks to clear the Canucks zone, he hesitates to exit the ice. Instead of pushing the puck up ice Miller circles back and yells at his goalie, before slamming his stick on his own net.
Last night Delia made 35 saves on 38 shots and likely was the only reason the Canucks were even in the game. Miller on the other hand was held pointless on the night and wasted 11 of the final 60 seconds when his team needed to the the game.
