At the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, the Tampa Bay Lightning selected Issac Howard with their 31st overall pick and the Sportsnet panel brought attention to Howard's outfit for the draft, claiming that he looked like he was taking a piece of out Auston Matthews collection.
Howard was asked about his attire and got a little cocky and confident in his answer:
Well I feel I'm the best looking guy here so I decided to be the best dressed too.
When Jagr say this, he decided to make a comment on Howard who apparently calls himself "The Iceman":
Hockey has changed this kid is lucky it's not the 1990's. Big guys would change his face.
Jagr started to take some heat on social media for his comment so quickly commented again saying he wasn't trying to insult Howard, but was talking from his own experience. He also added that the kid is going to be a great player.
