Thursday night was a frustrating one for the Seattle Kraken, as they blew an early 2-0 lead to the Edmonton Oilers, and those frustrations clearly boiled over.
During the game, Connor McDavid agitated Kraken forward Yanni Gourde, and when confronted about the slashing and roughing (both of which he was penalized for), he refused to answer for his actions.
Unsurprisingly, Gourde wasn't happy about his actions, so not too long after, he did this to Mattias Ekholm;

This incident occurred late in the game, and unsurprisingly resulted in the end of the night for Gourde, but now, he will need to face the music and have a hearing with the NHL's DoPS.
#SeaKraken Yanni Gourde will have a hearing with @NHLPlayerSafety for charging #Oilers Mattias Ekholm.
It's unclear just how the hearing will go, but for now it's a potential suspension that the Kraken didn't want to deal with as they find themselves battling for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
