REPORT: Matt Murray might be in some hot water - NHL investigating into his 'play'
It looks like Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Matt Murray could possibly be in some trouble. After reports from Michael Russo of the Athletic, the NHL is looking into footage of Murray knocking his net off the moorings.
Although Russo is more known for covering the Minnesota Wild, Russo would discuss how Murray did almost the same thing vs the Wild as he did against the Philadelphia Flyers. Video surfaced that noticed knocking the net off in Sunday's game vs the Philadelphia Flyers. Russo said:

It was noticed in the Situation Room last night that Murray was wiggling the net during TV timeout. League is actually testing nets coming up but also clipping goalies taking nets off moorings and bringing examples to GM's Meeting in March. Murray's net came off twice last night

We don't know what the outcome and or punishment will be, but it's cleat the NHL is now watching Matt Murray and his sneaky antics.
Here's video footage of Murray during Sunday night's game in Philadelphia. It's gonna be hard for Murray to explain this.
