A season ago, the New York Rangers made the massive move to land Patrick Kane, but after a disappointing playoff run, he's now a free agent, and is taking his time in finding a new home.
Plenty of options
This summer however, Kane has undergone hip surgery, and with that, he's remained patient in finding his next team, with most believing he could start the season without a team and make a move once we see how things begin to play out.
From the Rangers to the Sabres to the Avalanche and even the Panthers, there's plenty of teams interested in the veteran's services, but now, one team has seemingly emerged as a favourite.
A Canadian contender
Now, it appears the Edmonton Oilers have become the favourite to land his signature, as they go all in for a Cup behind McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane and this talented group.

According to The Hockey Writers, the Oilers are on Kane's shortlist, and with the potential desire to leave the stacked Eastern Conference, this one just makes more and more sense, so keep an eye on the three-time Cup Champion to join the star studded Edmonton team sometime soon.
