Two days ago, the Vegas Golden knights revealed that goaltender Robin Lehner will miss the entire year due to his recent surgery to fix his hip, causing major panic in sin city.
NEWS: Robin Lehner is expected to miss the entire 2022-23 NHL season after it was determined that he will require hip surgery. An exact timeline of his recovery is to be determined. #VegasBorn Vegas Golden Knights (@GoldenKnights) August 11, 2022
However, Vegas Golden Knights General Manager might have a plan, which would be acquiring Canadiens goaltender Carey Price.
According to TSN's Shawn Simpson, he believes that Carey Price is good option for the Golden Knights but says the Habs will have to eat some of that $10.5 million dollar salary.
Why could this deal work? Carey Price is 34 and wants to win a Stanley Cup. Vegas is in a win now mindset while the Canadiens are in a full rebuild. If Price regains his form before the injury, he would actually be hurting the Canadiens by helping them win games, when they actually want to be losing them.
