A scary fight unfolded last night in an OHL game.
Top Kraken Prospect Gets KO'd After Fight
A fight emerged in a game between the North Bay Battalion and the Sudbury Wolves.
Ty Nelson, who was drafted in the third round by the Seattle Kraken in 2022, dropped the gloves and was sent on the ice by his opopnent after throwing a few punches. When he fell, he had already lost his helmet and hit his head on the ice.
Here's what happened:
"Scary scene in Sudbury tonight as #SeaKraken prospect Ty Nelson gets in a fight and smokes his head off the ice. He was clearly dazed after and obviously did not return for the 3rd period. North Bay would lose in OT, getting swept in the huge home and home vs Sudbury #OHL"
Usually, when players lose their helmets in a junior fight, referees intervene to avoid that kind of situation.
On social medias, people are calling them out:
Do you think the referees should've intervened sooner?
