The Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs played in a thrilling 2-1 OT encounter recently, but the noise between the two parties hasn't yet stopped.
Anaheim Ducks call out a ridiculous headline about Lukas Dostal
Following the game, the Toronto Sun, a media outlet in Toronto took a shot at Ducks goaltender Lukas Dostal after the game, leading the Ducks' social media team to post this;
His name is Lukas Dostal. He had 55 saves last night. He was NHL Rookie of the Month in October.
Be better,
@TheTorontoSun
The Toronto Sun fires back at the Anaheim Ducks
While many believed this was a fair move from the Ducks given the disrespect in the headline for their young goaltender, the Toronto Sun have clearly doubled down on their ridiculous coverage of the team, posting this today;
Anaheim Ducks noisily quack about no-name goalie jab in Toronto Sun headline.
@AnaheimDucks
Unsurprisingly, fans were quick to call out the Sun doubling down on their headline, and given Dostal's potential as a starter down the line and John Gibson's talents in net, there's no doubt that an outlet covering the Maple Leafs don't have much room to talk when it comes to goaltending.
