Yesterday we shared a video of Sweidsh hockey player Rasmus Ahlholm crosschecking his teammate in the head at practice and knocking him unconscious. Well today we have learned of his punishment from his team, Storhamar of the GET-ligaen.
Effective immediately Ahlholm is no longer allowed to practice with the team.
The team Director Mads Hansen shared this:
"He will not train with the team until we have made further progress in the matter."
Hansen also shared that he has not ruled out cutting Ahlholm from the team, despite him being Storhamar's best players.
Team Captain Patrick Thoresen said:
"It's completely unacceptable for a teammate to do something like that to another," said Thoresen, who played for both the Edmonton Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL.
Lundell Noer, the victim of the check, is back to practicing with the team.
