According to Rob Rossi the Pittsburgh Penguins are willing to give up any of their prospects including Rutger McGroarty who they got in a trade with the Winnipeg Jets this summer.
It's my understanding, said Rossi, that they told (Columbus GM) Don Waddell 'You can have any prospect you want', including McGoarty.
It seems as though Kyle Dubas really would like to land David Jiricek and add him to the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup for this season and beyond.
This would be a huge move for the Penguins who currently lack a top defensive prospect who can take the mantle of Kris Letang and Erik Karlsson in the future.
While David Jiricek has struggled to find his way in the NHL so far he still has that type of potential if he hits his ceiling and it seems the Pittsburgh Penguins see a path for that to happen.
