This season has been a bad one for the Chicago Blackhawks, but with their future being very bright, fans are hanging onto the optimism that they could turn into yet another dynasty moving forward.
While Connor Bedard is at the center of that hope, there have been other top picks for Chicago that are expected to play a huge role for the team moving forward, one of them being 2024 No. 2 overall draft pick Artyom Levshunov.
The 19-year-old is off to a solid start with the Rockford Ice Hogs in 2024/25, with 2 goals and 11 points in 31 games played, and while he isn't setting the league on fire yet, it's clear that he's developing the way that those in the Blackhawks front office would want him too.
Unfortunately, there have now been some question marks raised over him, as he was scratched for a game over the weekend, and according to top NHL Insider Frank Seravalli, that was a punishment for being late to a team meeting.
Despite this, however, Seravalli was still very high on Levshunov, as he would go on to compliment his potential and note that he is arguably the most important prospect for the Blackhawks moving forward.
Standing at 6-foot-2, the Belarusian defenseman certainly has the raw talent to be a star at the NHL level on the blue line, and while he'll need to clean up the issues off the ice and work to develop his game at the professional level, optimism remains high in Chicago.
