BREAKING: Massive Update On Milan Lucic's Trial After His First Hearing
The Boston Bruins got some bad news earlier this season when power forward Milan Lucic was arrested following a domestic incident. Today we got an update on his legal status and its not great news for the power forward.
Lucic Set To Go To Trial In February For Dispute
Today former Bruins forward Milan Lucic had a zoom hearing to determine whether or not he would go to trial over a dispute involving his wife that occurred last November. The hearing determined that there was sufficient cause to go to trial and they set a date for February 16th.
The @NHLBruins veteran forward #MilanLucic appeared for status hearing via @Zoom at #Boston Municipal Court on a domestic charge. A jury trial has been set for February 16th, so this is going to trial.
When police responded to a 911 call regarding the incident, they noted that Lucic appeared to be intoxicated. They also noted a broken lamp and red marks on his wife's neck.
A trial date is reportedly set for Bruins forward Milan Lucic as he faces charges stemming from a November incident at his home.
Lucic entered the NHL's Player Assistance program for substance abuse following the incident. He remains on the Bruins books under LTIR for the time being, but it is believed that the team will terminate his contract after he exits the program. Stay tuned for updates from Lucic's trial next month.
