The arrival of Connor Bedard in the NHL has been one of the most hyped event of the year in hockey.

With it comes a lot of good things: he became a star and gets to live his dream of playing profesionnal hockey.

However, there's also a dark side.

It's hard for a young man to stay humble and keep a great attitude in circumstances like these, but Bedard does it well. Even before the draft, where everyone talked about how he'd be the first one to go, he stayed modest.

Now that hockey season is back, we finally got the chance to see him on the ice!

He scored five points in two games, including one goal (in an empty net).

When he scored, Bedard didn't seem too happy that his first goal was an empty netter.

Looks at his reaction:

Could this be an attitude problem?

Blackhawks Head Coach Comments on Bedard's Attitude

Luke Richardson started by commenting Bedard's goal:

Luke Richardson chuckled at Connor Bedard not celebrating his empty-netter: "I don't know if he even counts those, but I count them."

Then, he continued by saying that he wants him to take his time to develop and have fun while doing it.

There's so much pressure, that if players can't find enjoyement in the little things, it will crush them.

Here's what he said:

"[Bedard is] hard on himself, so we're going to have to lighten him up and make sure he enjoys these times. Because wins in the NHL are hard to come by - and once it starts for real, they're really hard to come by. We have to make sure we enjoy the night and have a little fun when you win a game.

A couple of those hiccups, [like] when we missed an open net or fell down on a 2-on-0, we have to make some humor out of that and make it fun to come to the rink the next day, not tense and grinding the stick. There's enough of that."
