Flames Defenseman Calls Out Darryl Sutter Publicly In Recent Interview
In a recent interview, this Flames defenseman had some pretty blunt commentary regarding Darryl Sutter.
During a media scrum today, Flames Defenseman Nikita Zadorov had some blunt words regarding Darryl Sutter and his Flames teammates when asked about how current concerns around the team are similar to what was heard last year.
Last Season was different. It was Darryl, now there is no Darryl there is no excuses. You guys don't like hard coaches you don't like soft coaches you don't like good coaches, fair. You come out here you play hard and leave everything on the ice that is how simple it is
The comments come as the Flames have started 2-3-1 on the year, after many changes in the offseason which included a new head coach.
Zadorov Off to Slow Start as Well
Zodorov is also off to a slower start than he would like, with a minus-two rating and just two assists. While it is very early in the year, Zadorov and the Flames are hopeful to turn things around before hope is lost. For Zodorov, this means playing more as a team and less as individuals.
«We have too many individuals playing by themselves. We gotta figure out if we want to play as a team, or play as their own guy.»
