If you've ever had the chance to play in a beer league hockey game, you know that things can sometimes spiral out of control. It's especially true when one of the players gets a taste of newfound glory and lets it go to their head, which is precisely what happened in this particular incident captured on video.
The footage shows a typical beer league game in progress when tempers begin to flare up, and one goalie goes after an opponent during a stoppage in play. As everyone else tries to join the fray, the original goalie skates towards center ice to confront his counterpart who had been minding the other net.
While skirmishes in the corner are common in hockey, it's rare for goalies to engage in a fight, making this incident the focal point of the video. The goalie in the corner was likely either done playing, bored, or challenged by his opponent at the other end of the ice.
While line brawls are infrequent in professional hockey, let alone beer league games, they can be exciting or unnecessary depending on the situation.
