Yesterday Yegor Bryzgalov suffered what seemed to be a serious injury after he was knocked unconscious during a game. After a collision with Vladislav Syomin, the two players heads appeared to collide before Bryzgalov's head slammed hard on the ice.
The referees decided there was no penalty on the play. Bryzgalov was loaded onto a stretcher and taken to a local area hospital.
The team has since reported that Bryzgalov suffered a significant concussion on the play and is expected to miss an extended time due to this hit.
