Gary Bettman, Bill Daly and the Quebec government met today to discuss the possibility of a team eventually returning to Quebec City. The Quebec government has done everything asked of them, develop an arena, find funding and generate provincial interest.

Quebec and the fans have done everything but it still sounds like the NHL will work to limit any opportunity for Quebec to gain another team.

The NHL issued the following statement today.

"We had a cordial meeting with Mr. Girard and Mr. Côté this morning, during which they once again
expressed Quebec's passion for
hockey and Quebec City's profound interest in seeing the NHL return to Quebec City. We explained that,
while we were appreciative and
flattered by the interest expressed,
unfortunately, we were not aware of any opportunity that could address that interest at the current time. We appreciate that the lines of
communication between the parties have been refreshed, and we
agreed to stay in touch with each other as circumstances warrant going forward."

This is another opportunity for the NHL to refuse to acknowledge the short comings of the Arizona Coyotes' franchise, who as soon as tonight could know they have no future in Arizona.

NHL Super Agent also shared his thoughts on Gary Bettman and the province of Quebec.

"Bettman will doing everything in his power to prevent the NHL's return to Quebec City."

This situation continues to baffle anyone who understands Quebec and their passion for the game of hockey.
