First matchup of the NHL Playoffs is set between Colorado and Winnipeg
The 2024 NHL playoffs are getting real, with the first matchup being officially set between the Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets.
It seems like the season just started yesterday, however, it is quickly coming to a close and the playoffs are getting set to begin. Playoffs are so close, in fact, that we have our first official matchup of the 2024 post-season set. That will be the Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets facing off in what will be an electric matchup.
The #Avalanche and #Jets will battle it out in the first round of the playoffs ✈️🏔️
Who you got?
This will be an insane first-round matchup, as both teams have an incredible year in their own rights. The Jets finished in front of the Avalanche, and that was highlighted by their 7-0 win last night over their first-round opponent. However, they shouldn't expect the first round to go as well as last night did, as surely the Avalanche will bring more intensity than what was shown during the game.
The Jets have had an incredible year after a turbulent offseason that many fans thought would see their stars in Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellebuyck part ways from the team. When they both signed their extensions on the same day, that was a sign that Winnipeg was in it for the long haul, and their leaders had bought in.
Who do you think will win the first-round matchup?
